It’s hard for me to express the euphoric feelings I feel when I recall my trip to the Nashville B&B, Urban Cowboy. Upon reflection, I feel a tingly, cozy sensation; a warmth remembering the whiskey and firelight and the attentive, nurturing staff.
Picture it: rolling up to a sprawling Victorian mansion that looks, both, mysterious and inviting. It doesn’t have the stark, abandoned feel of a haunted house, the vibe is more… historical, but, like, glowy. From afar it kind of looks like the outside a grandmother’s antique jewelry box: sparkly, enticing, forbidden. Thankfully though, Urban Cowboy isn’t forbidden – it’s a mesmerizing, magical, welcoming fortress!
Inside, the decor is next-level. Co-owner and designer Lyon Porter has artfully curated the sultry, saloon-like space with vintage instruments, hand-stamped wallpaper, and modern-meets-rustic furniture. The rooms are an Instagrammer’s paradise, and all feature an ornate clawfoot tub.
Urban Cowboy’s motto is “arrive as strangers, leave as friends,” and this couldn’t be truer. We left wishing we could take home all the sweet, genuine new friends we’d just made.
